Florencio Moreno researches colonial iconography for the Institute de Investigaciones Estéticas and teaches at Universidad Autóonoma Benito Juárez de Oaxaca. He completed a master's degree in cultural geography from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, with concentrations in astroarchaeology and iconography. Florencio has led numerous tours to Mexico, including several for Smithsonian Journeys.
